Git Git Waterfall

A 35-metre rainforest waterfall reached by an easy paved path through coffee and clove trees.

The Experience

The Waterfall

A 35-Metre Rainforest Drop

Git Git is a tall single-drop waterfall, around 35 metres of white water crashing into a pool deep in the rainforest of North Bali. It's one of the island's most accessible big falls, and the constant cool spray and rising mist make it a refreshing stop on the northern route. Come in the morning for the best light through the canopy.

The Walk In

An Easy Paved Path

Unlike Sekumpul and Bali's tougher falls, Git Git is reached by an easy paved path - no serious trek required. The way in is shaded and pretty, winding past coffee bushes, clove and other spice trees on small local plantations. It's a gentle downhill on the way to the falls; just remember it's uphill on the way back.

The Base

Spray, Roar & a Cool Pause

At the foot of the falls the air turns cool and damp, the roar of the water fills the ravine, and green walls of rainforest close in on every side. It's a good place to catch your breath, take photos, and cool down before carrying on. The rocks can be slippery, so tread carefully near the water.
